Chameleon Productions  LLC

is a one person film company begun by filmmaker Linda Kane on the

Big Island of Hawaii in 2007.  In 2013 Chameleon Productions released the feature documentary "Nona Beamer: A Legacy of Aloha," about a remarkable Hawaiian woman who helped restore the Hawaiian culture after a hundred years of missionary suppression. This film is available on DVD at amazon.com

"Changing Planes" is an idea that came to Kane after interviewing a woman who had had a near death experience. This woman was completely sincere, and her whole outlook on life was fundamentally changed  by her experience.

Death is probably the most fascinating topic there is. After filming the first experience, other people came forth with tales of their NDE. The idea of the documentary offering first hand accounts of what lies on the other side of death took hold and grew. Kane wanted more. She wanted experiences from other cultures and religions. The project quickly became too large for one person. She realized she couldn't do such a film justice, and reluctantly gave it up.  A few months later,

very early on the morning of her birthday, Kane received an unusual gift:

A Really Big Idea.

She would seek out filmmakers and videographers from all over the world,

from all cultures and religions, and invite them to film an interview

with someone who has visited the other side of death.

This may be the very first CROWD-SOURCED FILM ever produced,

and you are invited to join me and the crowd in making

"Changing Planes."
